Gartner Predicts 75% of U.S. Federal Agencies Will Fail to Implement Zero Trust
Drivers of Failure to be in Compliance of Policies
Through 2026, 75% of U.S. federal agencies will fail to implement zero trust security policies due to funding and expertise shortfalls. Gartner defines zero trust as a security paradigm that starts from the baseline of trusting no end user, and explicitly identifies users and grants them the precise level of access necessary to accomplish their task. Zero trust is not a specific technology, product or service. Instead, it is a set of security design principles that contrasts with the traditional perimeter-based security approach.

IDC Estimates that GenAI Will Increase Marketing Productivity More Than 40% by 2029
New research from International Data Corporation (IDC) shows that applying generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) to a range of enterprise marketing tasks will result in an estimated productivity increase of more than 40% by 2029. To calculate the potential impact of GenAI capabilities on marketing, IDC modeled the work of 24 key marketing roles across five main categories of work – Management and Planning, Branding and Creative Services, Campaign and Engagement, Analytics and Reporting, and Other.

Expanding Channel Ecosystem Drives Growth in the META Smart Home Devices Market
The market for smart home devices within the Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa (META) region reached $12.71 billion in 2023, a 6.0% increase on the previous year. US$11.99 billion. That’s according to the latest insights from International Data Corporation (IDC) and its newly updated Worldwide Quarterly Smart Home Devices Tracker.
The region has witnessed an influx of vendors across various product categories over the last 18 months. This has spurred an increase in market activity, particularly in relation to partnerships between vendors and channel players.

Adobe Report Highlights Growing Gen AI Adoption
According to the report, the majority of the American public said they are aware of Gen AI, and 53% of US consumers say they have already used the technology, from AI-powered chatbots to image generators.
Today, most consumers say they use Gen AI in their personal lives (81%), followed by a rising trend of utilisation at work (30%) and for school (17%). Of those who regularly use Gen AI, Adobe’s report found that almost half (41%) use it every day.

New Phase for Electric Vehicles
By 2027, Gartner predicts next-generation battery electric vehicles (BEVs) will, on average, be cheaper to produce than a comparable internal combustion engine (ICE). As OEMs move on to disruptively transform their manufacturing operations in tandem with product design, the coming years will see BEV production costs drop considerably faster than battery costs.
